Saraba Literary Trust, publishers of Saraba Magazine, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting literature in Nigeria, with Africa-wide collaborations. Our work is sustained by a group of committed and enthusiastic writers, scholars, and artists. Most of our editors and administrative staff work as unpaid volunteers, and the rest are contracted from time to time. We are funded by the generosity of readers, members, and friends of the organization.
We are currently looking for 3 persons to intern as Associate Digital Editors. This position is open to anyone who can demonstrate interest in literature, visual art, and social media. The ideal candidate would be sufficiently skilled in the use of WordPress (advanced), Photoshop (advanced/intermediate) and Adobe InDesign (basic). You will be tasked with regular updates of the website, social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr), and report to the Digital Editor and Managing Editor. Sufficient knowledge of web monitoring tools would be an added advantage.
The position will be occupied for a renewable period of 6 months. Interns would be unpaid, but stipends might be offered from time to time. Interns who are interested in submitting to the magazine could be asked for solicited contributions.
